Summer 2026 – Ta’ Qali, Malta
Luna Park Malta Is Back – Everything You Need to Know Before You Go
Rides, food, games, and summer nights under the Maltese sky. Here is your complete guide to Luna Park Malta 2026.
Every summer, Malta gets a little more magical – and a lot louder. Luna Park is back at Ta’ Qali, and if you have never been, this is the year to go. And if you have been before, you already know you are going back.
This is not your typical theme park with queues, wristbands, and overpriced everything. Luna Park Malta is something more old-fashioned and more fun for it – a proper travelling funfair straight from Italy, arriving on the island every May with its flashing lights, blaring music, and rides that spin just a little faster than you expect. It is the kind of place where kids drag their parents onto rides, teenagers dare each other onto the scary ones, and adults end up having just as much fun as anyone.
Here is everything you need to know before you go.

Where Is It and How Do You Get There?
Luna Park 2026 is set up at the Ta’ Qali Crafts Village, which sits in the centre of Malta between Mosta and Attard. It is easy to reach from most parts of the island.
🚌 By bus: Take bus route 51 from Valletta – it goes directly to Ta’ Qali.
🚗 By car: Ample parking is available on site. Parking costs €4.

What Rides Are There?
This is what everyone really wants to know. Luna Park Malta has something for every age and every level of bravery – from gentle carousels for the little ones to rides that will properly test your stomach. Here is a breakdown of what to expect.

Heads up: Luna Park Malta is a travelling Italian fairground, and the rides can run at higher speeds than visitors used to UK or northern European funfairs might expect. This is part of the charm – just worth knowing before you hop on the roller coaster without warming up first.
What About Games and Arcade Stalls?
Beyond the rides, Luna Park has the full fairground experience – rows of game stalls where you can win prizes, test your aim, or simply watch other people try and fail to knock down bottles with a ball. The arcade booths are a big part of the atmosphere, especially as the evening gets going and the lights come on across the whole site.
It is the kind of thing that feels slightly impossible to win but impossible to walk past without trying at least once. Factor in a few euros for the games on top of the rides – it adds to the experience.

Food and Drinks
You will not go hungry. Luna Park Malta has food stalls scattered throughout the site, and the smell of them is half the atmosphere. Expect the kind of food that was designed to be eaten while walking around in the dark with sugar on your fingers.
What to look out for:
Pancakes with Nutella are a firm favourite – warm, sweet, and exactly right for a summer evening. Sugar wool (candy floss) is everywhere. Burgers, hot dogs, and fried snacks keep the savoury crowd happy. Soft drinks and cold water are available throughout – important when it is warm and you have been on the Ciclone twice.
How Much Does It Cost?
FREE
€3 – €5
Available on site
Entry is completely free – you only pay for what you ride. Rides are priced per ride, so you are in control of how much you spend. For a family or a group, it makes sense to budget a reasonable amount per person if you want to do several rides, grab some food, and have a go at a game or two. It is good value for an evening out, especially given that the atmosphere alone is worth the trip.
When Is the Best Time to Go?
⏰ Weekday evenings are quieter – Monday to Thursday from 6pm. If you want shorter queues, go midweek.
🎉 Weekends and public holidays are busier and livelier – from 5pm. Better atmosphere, longer waits for the popular rides.
🌙 Go after dark – Luna Park is at its best once the lights are fully on, usually around 8-9pm. The whole place transforms.
🌡️ Dress for warmth later in the evening – May nights in Malta can be cooler than you expect, especially if you are wet from the water slides.
💶 Bring cash – many stalls and ride operators at travelling fairgrounds prefer cash over card.
Is It Good for Families with Young Children?
Yes – genuinely. Luna Park Malta is not just for teenagers and adrenaline seekers. The carousels, trampolines, Fun House, and Ferris wheel are all perfectly suited to younger children. The open layout means you can keep an eye on kids easily, and the food stalls are accessible throughout. Little ones tend to love the atmosphere even before they get on a single ride – the lights, the music, and the general excitement of it all.
That said, some of the bigger rides have height restrictions, so check before your children get their hearts set on the roller coaster.

Luna Park Malta only runs for a few weeks each summer – from 22nd May to 5th July 2026 – and it tends to feel like it is over before you know it. This is one of those things that locals put in the diary every year and visitors to Malta in summer stumble across and immediately glad they did.
Free entry, a warm Maltese evening, a Ferris wheel with a view over the island, and a Ciclone that spins you in directions you did not know existed. It is not complicated. It is just a very good night out.
📍 Ta’ Qali Crafts Village, Attard – open daily from 22 May to 5 July 2026.
