If you would rather spend Saturday outdoors than at a club, head to Ta’ Qali. Malta Daily’s Big Picnic Party is on today, Saturday 10th October 2026, at the National Park in Ta’ Qali, with a wellbeing morning followed by a relaxed afternoon of music, food and games. It is part of the NITKELLEM Festival, and entry is free.

What’s on
Wellbeing morning
The day starts with a mix of sport and calm. According to the organisers, there are 5K and 10K runs with Sunday Run Club, a yoga session with Sasha Vella, pilates with Soma Studios and a breathwork session led by Neil Agius.
The Big Picnic Party, from midday
From 12:00 the park turns into a big picnic, with live music, food and drink stalls and a relaxed community atmosphere. Bring a blanket, find a spot on the grass and stay as long as you like.
Children’s zone
Families are well looked after, with bouncy castles, giant games, table football, arcade basketball, face painting, balloon modelling, trampolines and stilt walkers.
Tips for the day
- Bring a picnic blanket, water and sun protection. The sun is still strong at midday, and the National Park has little shade.
- The wind is expected to be fresh from the north-west today, so pack a light layer for the evening.
