Opera in Gozo is a real treat, and on Saturday 17th October 2026 La Traviata comes to the Teatru tal-Opra Aurora in Victoria as the theatre celebrates its 50th anniversary.
Event details
- Date: Saturday 17th October 2026
- Time: 7:30pm (doors open at 6:45pm)
- Where: Teatru tal-Opra Aurora, Republic Street, Victoria, Gozo
- Tickets: listed from about €60 to €100, depending on the seat
Why go
La Traviata is one of the most loved operas in the world, with a story of love and sacrifice that works even if you have never seen an opera before. Gozo’s two opera houses, the Aurora and the Astra, both in Victoria, are known for their opera seasons, and an anniversary performance in a historic theatre makes a good excuse for an evening out in the capital of Gozo.
Tips
- Book ahead. Opera nights in Gozo can sell out.
- Combine it with a day on the island: see our Gozo guide and the Ġgantija Temples.
- The Gozo Channel ferries run all night, so you can get back to Malta after the show.
