Why It’s a Big Deal for Malta

Malta has a famously passionate relationship with Eurovision, and two of this year’s hosts are former Junior Eurovision winners for Malta: Gaia Cauchi won in 2013 and Destiny Chukunyere in 2015. The contest is also being held earlier than usual this year, as most editions take place in November.

Tips for Attending

  • Buy tickets early through the official channels, as demand is high.
  • Ta’ Qali is in the centre of the island. Plan transport home in advance, as the show finishes late.
  • Can’t get a ticket? The final is broadcast live on PBS, and many bars around Malta will be showing it.

Ticket prices and times may change. Always check the official Junior Eurovision and PBS channels for the latest information.
