Together We Shine 2026: Free Charity Festival at San Klement Park, Żabbar, 25 October

Together We Shine is back for another year, and it is one of the nicest low-key family days on the October calendar. On Sunday 25 October 2026, from 12:00 to 19:30, voluntary organisations and local charities take over Park Ta’ San Klement in Żabbar for an afternoon of activities, music and food. Entry is free.

What is Together We Shine?

The idea is simple: give Malta’s voluntary sector a friendly space to meet the public. Instead of a formal fundraiser, it feels more like a community fair. You walk around, chat to the people behind the stalls, maybe pick up something handmade, and learn what different groups actually do. It is a good way to see a side of Maltese life that most visitors never notice.

What to expect on the day

  • Charity market – local organisations showing their work, with small items and information stands.
  • Kids’ corner – crafts, nature activities, obstacle courses and simple science experiments.
  • Community showcases – performances and demos from music, arts and sports groups.
  • Food trucks – snacks and drinks are on sale, so you do not need to pack lunch.
  • Sunset outdoor cinema – a free screening of Peter Rabbit 2 at around 17:30. Registration is required through the organisers’ online form, so sign up early if your children want a spot.

The full stall list and exact performance times were not published when we wrote this, so check the organisers’ pages closer to the day.

Tips for visitors

Late October afternoons in Malta are usually warm, but it gets cooler once the sun goes down, so bring a light layer for the film. Comfortable shoes help too, as the park is big and the activities are spread out. Note that Sunday 25 October is also the day the clocks go back one hour, so sunset comes earlier than you might expect. If you are planning the rest of your week, our Malta This Week page has the weather and other things happening nearby.

How to get there

San Klement Family Park is on the edge of Żabbar in the south of Malta, close to the Xgħajra and Marsaskala roads. There is parking around the park, but it fills up on busy Sundays, so arrive early or come by bus and walk the last stretch. Check the Tallinja app for the best route from where you are staying.

The park itself is worth a visit any day of the week. It is one of the larger green spaces in the south, with play areas and walking paths. See our guide to family parks and gardens in Malta for more ideas, or browse all upcoming events in Malta.
