Festa Familja Inklużjoni Waħda 2026 in Ħal Safi: Free Family Day with Rides, 22 November

Looking for something easy and free to do with the kids in late November? On Sunday 22 November 2026, the small southern village of Ħal Safi hosts Festa Familja: Inklużjoni Waħda, a family day built around one simple idea: every child should be able to join in. The event is organised by the Safi Local Council with support from the Local Government Division and VisitMalta, and the poster promises free amusement rides.

What to expect

The name means “Family Festa: One Inclusion”, and the focus is on a day that children of all abilities can enjoy together. The official poster shows a fun-fair setting with a kids’ train, a bouncy castle, balloons and bunting, so expect a relaxed village fun day rather than a big crowded festival. It is a good fit for families with younger children who want a few hours outdoors without spending much.

  • When: Sunday 22 November 2026
  • Where: Ħal Safi (exact spot in the village not yet announced)
  • Entry: free, with free amusement rides
  • Organiser: Safi Local Council

Start and finish times have not been published yet, and neither has the full list of activities. We will update this page when the council shares more details, so check back closer to the day.

Tips for visitors

Rides at free community events usually have queues, so arriving early in the day is the best way to let the kids enjoy more of them. Bring a light jacket, as late November afternoons can turn cool once the sun drops, and keep an eye on the forecast on our Malta This Week page, since outdoor rides may pause in rain or strong wind. If you are planning more days out with children, our guide to family parks and gardens in Malta has plenty of free ideas.

How to get there

Safi is a quiet village in the south of Malta, close to Żurrieq, Kirkop and Malta International Airport. It is easy to reach by car, but on event days the village core gets busy, so park on the outer streets and walk in. Several bus routes serving the south pass through Safi; use the Tallinja app to plan your trip. For other things to do that weekend, see our full list of upcoming events in Malta and Gozo.
